Her Story
Journey to happiness.
They say a person's real gift in life is what they were asked to stop doing as a child. Bahar was a fashion-loving negotiator, so here she is; a creative lawyer.
"Do one thing every day that makes you happy" is a principle she lives by. She has come to learn that loving what you do and living your dream is more attainable than ever imagined. Life is simple. You just need to get a little creative and resourceful. But most importantly, you need to keep an open mind. It takes courage and a thick skin to be
a pioneer and 4 simple steps:
1. Dream
It always starts with a dream. When I dreamed up my career, I never imagined it would evolve to be what It has become. I am humbled and proud of my accomplishments. And I know that this is just the very beginning. I am also grateful for people who touched my heart & encouraged me to dream big along the way.
2. Design
Designing a new career can start with education, licenses, raw talent, creations, training, or even improv classes. It means that you intentionally design your steps and execute them. In my case, I spent 8 years (and a lot of money) on my education to get a bar license before I launched my career as an attorney and that was just the beginning. Since then, I have worked hard to create the career of my dreams.
3. Inspire
I worked as a litigator before I started working with startups. What I always knew was that the traditional practice of law was not for me. I wanted to help people, and I also wanted to work in a creative environment with like-minded people, so I created 2nd.law. Less than 20% of law firm partners in the U.S. are women and a fraction of that minority. I am one of them.
4. Create
Over the last 10+ years in law, I have helped hundreds of creators achieve their dreams. When Covid happened, I decided to share my knowledge through my podcast and blog to be able to help more people achieve their dreams. Creators often shy away from entrepreneurship because of the complexity of running a business, but not you. Dream big. Be brave. Be happy. I'm already proud of you.
